HEC -

HEC- M (Metallization) stands for chrome optic and is an alternative for galvanic (electroplating).

  • The usually very cost intensive pre-treatment processes in the galvanic industry will be replaced by HEC-F. Depending of the quality standard no additional polishing of the substrates is necessary – substrates made out of plastics can be coated directly and for metal substrates slide grinding is sufficient.
  • The metallisation is free of chrome and heavy metals and can be applied on almost all plastic and metal surfaces.
  • As a result, surfaces have a visibly higher quality. For the application there is no limit in colours and degrees of gloss, regardless if optics have to be produced in chrome, nickel or anodized metal

By using the HEC-process the scrap-rate reduces drastically compared to the scrap rate caused by a galvanic process
